Sure I love hot rods and I love movies. . . but the hot rod movies of the '50's left much to be desired. Sure they're cool for their campy acting and fake backgrounds, but anyone with a brain knows that the late '70's into the early '80's was the really the Golden Age of car movies.

H.B. Halicki wrote and shot the original "Gone in 60 Seconds" (1974) using cars from his salvage yard and personal collection. . .
